I Hate My Class
I’m in a new class at CSULA–Research Techniques.
Research.
Techniques.Ugh.
Who wants to do research?
NOT ME.
This is one of those ones that everyone is required to take…and let’s just admit it: I’m no brainiac. Research doesn’t really interest me, and I don’t find it particularly applicable to my life as a 28 year-old. But, I’m sure that is my own short-sightedness.
And the teacher hasn’t done anything wrong; he is not boring or a poor instructor. I just don’t care.
And there’s going to be a whole bunch of writing.
But I don’t wanna…
So there.Blarg.
Daniel doesn’t care about research or WRITING.
The end.
All that said…I LIKE THE FRINGE!!!
Is anyone else watching this show? It’s great!!
And of course…a little bit of Colbert…cause I LOVE THIS GUY!!!

When did the Fringe aired? haha youre like acting like a kidteen arguing about math or something.
I love research, and I just can’t get into Fringe.
HOW MUCH DID YOU LAUGH AT HIMYM LAST NIGHT??? “This burger is so good I want to sew my butt closed.”
@garon - I know I know…this is honestly the first grad class I don’t like. All the others have been awesome.
The Fringe is on FOX at 9pm on Tuesdays and it’s cool.
oh then i missed it tonight damn, i might have to download it…
@marshallismyalias - it was pretty funny…a few of the lines were good–especially that one…but I don’t know…it seemed to be…just OK last night overall. Except Regis. That guy was FUNNY
@garon - no DVR? I’m sure it’s on their website or iTunes. Check it out!
definitely, cheers!
You must have been in a bad mood when you watched it. It was truly legen – wait for it – dary. Or, as Will Forte would say, legendary – wait for it – dary.
Daniel’s right (this is Christy)- How I met your mother wasn’t that great, just okay- Leanne and I just talked about it today. And Daniel and I haven’t talked about it. You must have been in a GREAT mood….
I thought it was great. Definitely one of their better episodes.
Suck it up, wimp. I took that class like 4 years ago. And mine was 500-level. What’s yours, some MUS497 for a measly two units? Yeah, I thought so.
I’m really mean to you. But you kinda ask for it…
MUS 497 Research Techniques in Music (2) Basic bibliography, survey of literature, methods of research in music and music education, and practice in organizing and reporting data, both oral and written.
Love research, love writing. Because research is usually quite intensive that is what I remember most from college. I always learned something because I obsessed over the topic for so long I think it actually burned a hole in my brain.
As for Fringe, YES, I watch it! I like it but sometimes it seems far fetched. I think that’s what I like about it because I’m able to get lost in it (pun intended) and escape reality in the one hour show. My favorite line from last night’s show: Peter calls the cylinder, or capsule, “a gigantic metallic suppository.”
Ugh, relating . . . I had to take a “research” course in grad school. The should have just named it what it was “How to use the library 101″ Oh, and how to read all the Style Manuals. The people who write those books are communication Nazis.
@sc0tlas - I hate you and your research class from four years ago.
@sc0tlas - okokokok…I don’t hate you
FRING>>>>> You just wait….I’ll bet that one of the Fring projects will be the Darma (sp?) Initiative…..Hmmmmmmm.
Hey, that was my favorite class!!
