Crazy Things My Kids Say That I Shouldn’t Post Here, But Do
Nathaniel loves babies. He’s adorable when he gets around them…so sweet and tender.
We spent a day in Alabama visiting Dustin and Joli (and Ryli and Silas and Baby Malachi), and Nathaniel OUT OF THE BLUE comes up to me while we’re paying for lunch at the Cracker Barrel–and this is the conversation that transpired:
“Dad, can you get your stuff back?”
“What stuff?”
“Your stuff. Can you get your stuff back?”
“Nathaniel, what are you talking about? What stuff?”
“Your baby stuff. I WANT A BABY SISTER!!”
(shocked and awed)
“No, honey. NO.”HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Yes. Don’t deny him this one thing. Besides, Bennett Holz needs a future wife. LITTLE DHARMA SEMSEN!
I almost spewed my coffee–shoulda known with a blog title like that.
Ahhhhh, they grow up so fast.
That’s just tooooooooo cute and funny

lol (really loud!!!)
HAHAHA!!!
Is that what the kiddies are calling it these days??
@marshallismyalias - NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
You know… God speaks through children…
something to look at Click here
lol. gosh i know how ya feel.. my daughter asks all the time.. i don’t blame her, since she’s the only child. she reminds me all the time, to have a boy, AND a girl. so she can have both baby brother and sister, and they”re gonna be twins, just like how dora has a set of twin baby brother and sister
*chanting* DHAR-MA SEM-SEN! DHAR-MA SEM-SEN!
stuff…that’s funny. I’m with Heidi. Go adopt baby Dharma, or baby Elizabeth and then she can marry Bennett and they will introduce themselves as Elizabeth n Bennett. It’ll be perfect!

obviously, neither of you have EVER HAD A CHILD!!!
Having a baby is not like getting a dog.
Besides, Darth Maul Semsen has a much better ring to it.
Wow. That’s a little harsh. I would never equate having a dog to having a child. AND even though I have never borne my own child (neither have you, btw) I’m fairly certain that I have an excellent idea (and quite a bit of personal experience) of what it is like to raise a child. And it kind of offends me when people assume that because I don’t have a child of my “own” that I am not “qualified” enough to share my opinion on children in general.
All that said, I’m pretty sure Nathaniel would be opposed to having a brother (or sister) named Darth Maul anyway.
@lksee - well, I was only HALF joking, and mostly spake out of my own issues of impatience AND out of relief that baby-land is several years behind us…and we are SO THANKFUL for that. So….I wasn’t trying to be offensive-just saying I DON’T WANT NO MO’ BABIES!
go get your own.
