Easter
I can't believe Easter is this weekend!
My next class at CSULA is Advanced Flim Scoring and Songwriting.
It is going to rock.
I'm on break from grad school this week, then classes start up again on March 26th.Just a note--during the final class of "Seminar: Commercial Music" my teacher said the following:
"Daniel, you only need three things to make it in this business. You need to move closer to the city, you need an orchestra, and you need a little more confidence/bravado about yourself."Interesting...I didn't know I was lacking bravado...
soooo....
Step one: move to Burbank
Step two: utilize Midway Praise Orchestra to record when necessary
Step three: ???

I hope bravado doesn't entail acting like a pr*ck. That'd be funny.
But please don't. I like you the way you are.
I don't think you're lacking confidence or bravado. Maybe he's just used to people who are braggarts or think too highly of themselves. Just my opinion, of course. I can't believe Easter is almost here, either. I keep losing my voice from practicing too much. I'm giving it a rest today.
I don't believe she used the word confidence- just bravado right? Cause that's what you told me and the two are different. I agree you could drum up some more bravado if necessary, but confidence was not the issue. You should clarify or it's confusing.
Hmmmm...Bravado is put on and professionals in the artistic world do need to learn how to put it on when needed like a tux with shiny cuff links. Confidence is an inner calm, calculated assurrance. You definitley have confidence. It shows. To have more bravado just practice acting a bit more in front of Christy. I think girls are better at this because we learn to put on the makeup and the glitz. Bravado is manly glitz--huh? What do you think?
She used two words. I don't know if it was confidence...but it was definitely bravado.
And agreed. Bravado IS show, but I suppose that's just part of selling yourself...which you HAVE to be able to do.
and no...I will not be a jerk..or if I am being one, you have permission to punch me in the neck.
I may take you up on that.
I think you already have the "Bravado", don't mine him. I think some people equate arrogance with "bravado". Who knows what you teacher was talking about. It sounds like he's never seen you in "action" and, by the way, I love that family picture - it's totally cool.
Whoops, I meant confidence not bravado. I definitely don't think you faking being brave.
