  • Visitations

Today my boss’ boss’ former boss (a.k.a. the Provost) came by my office to talk to me.

This is highly unusual. He might stop by our humble little trailer once or twice in a year–and today was that day…to talk to me.

Let me just say, it was awesome. It was like one of those talks that Generals give to their troops right before a battle (at least in the movies…). And it was also perfect for ME, the way I’ve been feeling over the past few days.

In completely unrelated news, I liked Heroes last night.

  • yay for really vague blogs about bosses and generals.  :)

  • Yeah, what did he say?  Sometimes I forget how big of a deal it is when he comes in…

  • Words of affirmation, my friend…words of affirmation. It’s amazing how powerful they can be.

(note to self…Christy’s love language is words of affirmation…I should learn to do that better…)

  • Hope your days get better! You know what “THEY” say…”don’t worry, be happy.! oooooooo,o.o.o.oo.o.ooo.o.o.ooooo   don’t worry be happy. maybe a nice swing in a hammock?

  • I’ll give you some words of affirmation:

I don’t have to be a great basketball player

I don’t have to dribble the ball fast or throw the ball into the basket.

All I have to be is the best Michael I can be…

  • because I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

  • Whatever. Don’t presume to know how I watch TV.

I’m trying to like that stupid Heroes show. They just won’t let me because they are determined to write mediocre crap that is a shadow of what the first season was.

  • What?  You haven’t been liking it lately, Mike?  I think it’s been exciting!

  • So, how have you been feeling these days??!  Better I hope now that the “boss, boss” stopped by! =)

Yeah, I am with Mike on Heros!  I haven’t been watching it anymore…sigh.
