  • Lost...

So this morning I pop open my Bible and go to Psalms. I’ve
been reading Psalms lately (I’m still towards the beginning), and I turned to
    Psalm 9…

    1I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;

…and I stopped. That’s as far as I needed to go, because
I’ve already failed, and so have we all. It is a very difficult thing to praise
God with all of your heart—and
that’s all I needed to read, because I had learned something—or at least
learned what I needed to work on and focus on today. I peeked a little at what’s
next, but focused only on the first half of that first verse—because there was
enough there to last me quite a while.

Living in the world, but not of the world=very difficult.
It’s hard to know where to draw the line, and exactly what that means anyways. I was watching Studio 60 and
was struck with how much Christianity is a frontline topic on that show. They
are constantly talking about it, referring to the Conservative Christian Right,
etc…almost to the point of being annoying. Not annoying because I’m a
Christian, but annoying because it seems like they are trying to make a
specific point by it, and I can’t really figure out what it is—except to mock.
I’m not sure, but it was a little much last night (I Tivoed it and watched it
last night instead of Monday). I wasn’t bothered by it the first or second
time, but it got bothersome this time. It became excessive and indulgent.
Indulgent on the part of Aaron Sorkin…What are you trying to say, Aaron Sorkin?

I’m not going to stop watching it yet, I’m just puzzled by
    it.

Lost is tonight…I just got chills…

  • Eeeeeeee! Lost!!!!!!!!!! Eeeeeee!!!!! Hey, was that the new Clay Aiken cd you were listening to last entry? How is it?? I so wanted him to win....he was robbed....

  • ^^It is great. I like it!

  • In and not of the world - definitely a balancing act.  I always feel like I'm walking a tightrope, and people are just waiting for me to fall off.

How is that CD by The Fray?

  • And you're right, I don't watch The Office.  I was just trying to give you a hard time about your spelling (as in "3-hole puched"), but you didn't even notice, darn it!

  • Umm... my DVR didn't record Lost, even though it's set to. Has that ever happened to you before??

  • But I had lots of empty space. I wasn't anywhere near being full. And it didn't record - it said "error."
