Not eating sweets is very, very hard. This week I have succesfully resisted APU's famous choc-chip cookies (a slew of them! The really good ones!), a pazookie at BJ's, a thousand other candies at my work, pumkin pie, coffee bean (I love their caramel ice blended drink more than anything at Starbucks--I know, it's heresy), ten million other desserts that I can't think of, and tonight--my biggest tempation yet--candy corn pumkins. I love those candy corn pumkins. I don't know why, but I totally almost broke my little deal to have some...but I did not.
I think this second week will be a breeze...or it will be harder...I'm not sure yet...
Games at Heidi's house was fun. I won, a lot-I think.
I love my laptop. I'm currently cleaning it up and deleting stuff I don't/won't need on it to save the hard drive space for other future needs. I went through today and deleted all of my San Diego contacts out of the address book. It was a little walk down memory lane. There was a good two hundred of them, at least. But never fear, you're information is not lost forever-I printed to adobe pdf a copy of the entire thing before I deleted anything so I could reference it if I ever had to. You are not lost forever...

You go Daniel...the second week is easier...at least it was for me!!! You can do anything you put your mind too. Wait until you make it through the 2 wks, you may want to go for three!! lol
Good work on the no sugar thing! Hang in there Daniel! Lost any weight yet?
^^^I don't really think so...but it's so hard to tell...
It's supposed to get easier each day, right? How funny that you like candy corn pumpkins, too. There are a couple of us at work who LOVE them. And regular candy corn won't do - that tastes different. I usually only eat them around Halloween, but I abstained last year. I'm trying to be really good.
Can't wait for Battlestar G!!! It should be great!
hey dan,
when are you going to be on campus? let me know so we can try and meet up if you have some time. see you later
Oh golly, the candy corn is KILLER! But unfortunately, my teeth can't take them any more. I guess that's one way to wean yourself off sweets, is brush off all your tooth enamel to the point of extreme sensitivity. No, you're right, that doesn't really stop me completely. But seriously, after the first week, when the addiction is broken (yes, sugar IS an addiction) and your body is dependent on its effects, then the cravings do subside as you replace sugar with better food.
