Back to School
Everybody's going crazy around here. It's back-to-school time, and APU is hopping with students. It's pretty cool to see all theses little babies frantically getting ready for school. OK, they're not babies, they're 18-22 years old, they just look like babies. They don't look old enough to be in college, or I am just getting really old...anyways, our office is a madhouse.
Nathaniel starts Kindergarten today. He's such a big boy. He happens to be going to the best elementary school around, we hear. They have these huge expectations and "smart classrooms" and most of the parents drive '06 BMW's and Lexus convertables. Christy said they mentioned in the parent meeting a couple of months ago, "If you're office is upgrading your computer systems and is looking for a place to donate their old computers, don't call us. We only want the best for our students..." OK! He had to learn printing and all of this before school; many props to Christy for getting him ready. I mean, a few months ago he was having trouble identifying letters, now he can write his first and last name by himself and has learned a lot. Good job to my wife!
Happy 55th Birthday to my dad. He said that the older he gets, the more chance I'll have of living longer, because longevity of life is shown through genetics--it's all hereditary. My grandpa is still kicking at 84. Christy's grandpa died at 94 or something, so the two of us are probably going to be some cranky old farts--just beware. Don't say I didn't warn you in 60 years when I'm grumpy 24/7.
Four years ago TODAY, Christy and I left from Twain Harte for San Diego to go to a little place called Midway Baptist. What a wonderful portion of our life. We had an incredible life in San Diego--we grew and changed in ways unimaginable. We experienced community and made friends that will last forever. Thanks for touching and blessing us so much, Midway folks! We love all you San Diego-ites...San Diegoans...San Diegans...right.

Oh, yeah - you're soooooo old. Please. And by the way, JD has had relatives live to be over 100, so he's gonna outlive me. I better tell him where to find all our important papers.
^^^^HAHAHAHAAA! That's funny...
Was it really that long ago? It only seems like yesterday...
