Xanga on lunch break...here goes.
Christy and Mike are waiting in line for American Idol in the pouring rain! Good luck to them, and I'm sure Janke will write all about it...as will Christy.
Umm...lunch at the caf. Today's lunch was more like I remember. Since it's raining the caf was full again with a lot of students who weren't eating outside at one of the many other eateries that have been added recently. Anyways, it was busy. Yay. Then, something exciting happened. Cookies.
I have been asking the lunch lady (ok, the dessert lady) every day if there are any cookies. Every day she says no. Every day there are no cookies. But today, the cookie drought was lifted. It rained cookies.
I actually looked at the desssert cart on my way in and asked again-receiving my usual "No" answer. So with a sad face I asked if there was some sort of schedule to this cookie making (or lack thereof). She did not know. "Whenever do they make these cookies?", I asked. But again, she couldn't help me. Then I got my peas and tuna on salad, and the dessert lady actually came and found me. "You should go look at the dessert cart" she said in her think romanian accent. And I was intrigued...alas! There were cookies!
Did she bake them in the last 3 minutes? Were they in the fridge and she didn't know it? Did it really matter? There were cookies!
Cookies, cookies, cookies!
By the time I got there, there were already two other ladies waiting to get some cookies as well...the cookies were all stuck behind the counter, but I have long arms. And I put them to good use today...and we all rejoiced...And that, my friends, is the saga of the cookies.
And boy, were they tasty!
Today.
Today, is a very good day.

I've never known anyone who could write that much about cookies. Someone in my office made cookies yesterday and brought them in. I ate 4. They were small. And I have no willpower.
True, you may beat me tonight, but the point I am trying to make is that you are not a superior Nertz player to me. Our skill levels are fairly even, which makes for good competition.
Fa la, fa la, I'm bringing 2 kinds of skittles.
Oh yeah, what I meant to say was hoagies and grinders, hoagies and grinders, navy beans navy beans navy beans.
Ahhh...caf cookies...
Wow, you really love cookies don't you. I could never write so much about cookies. Although, cookies are the bomb-digidey...
what can I say about my love for cookies? Why is everyone so shocked? I mean, I make the best cookies EVER, you think I would like cookies...geez
YOU make the best cookies ever. If you say they're good, they must be good.
I remember the Caf cookies actually being pretty good. You'd think that they'd be like the rest of the food in the caf, edible but kinda weird. But hey, I'm not complaining!
i have a betty crocker cookie cookbook that was my mom's. I found a recipe and cooked it up on Sunday night. It is called banana oatmeal cookes. I love them, they remind me of the cookies my grandma always made. i added dried berries and chocolate chips and chopped pecans. yum yum! I sneak one a day ('so it can hopefully not ruin my goal to get in shape). and they are all natural! i'll send you some soon if you like dried berries in your cookies.
Nathaniel Hoffmann actually makes the best cookies ever. I call them "magic cookies."
I take it back. That was the BEST FREAKIN' COOKIE I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey daniel, you never explained that whole "word" thing to me....
Well there's no way for me to believe that statement without proof. That's it. You're baking cookies for Tuesday.
All that stuff about the cookies, and you didn't even tell us what kind they were! That makes a big difference, you know! The president of our company (small company, mind you) walked around the office a couple nights ago passing out the BIGGEST chocolate-covered strawberries I had ever seen to those of us working late. Got 3 of them sitting in my fridge right now. I think I'll go have one.
)
I bought Dan a Cookie Monster poster back when he was a freshman at APU. It just seemed appropriate.
Sadly, I don't think he liked it, because I never saw it actually go up on a wall...
you should've gotten me backpack, not a poster...or maybe a lunchbox with matching thermos...
Oh don't worry, I watched Jack Bauer too.
Can you please write a new blog so I don't have to comment on this one a 7th time?
nope
