  • A tremendous whirlwhind is swirling all around...so many events and appointments...it is incredible to be in the eye of a storm when God's peace surrounds you and says "I've got it under control, don't worry."

    ---------
    Psalm 125:1-2
    Those who trust in the Lord are like
    Mount Zion,
    which cannot be shaken but
    endures forever.
    As the mountains surround
    Jerusalem,
    so the Lord surrounds his people
    both now and forevermore.
    ---------

    Do you hear that? If I trust in the Lord, I will not be shaken by the weird stuff going on all the time around me. No stress, no pressure, no constraint. I will not be shaken.

    ---------
    Psalm 62:1-2, 5-6
    My soul finds rest in God alone;
    my salvation comes from him.
    He alone is my rock and my
    salvation;
    he is my fortress, I will never be
    shaken.

    Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
    my hope comes from Him.
    He alone is my rock and my
    salvation;
    He is my fortress, I will not be
    shaken.
    --------

    I will not be shaken.

    Preparations for July 4th and Summer's Night are going well. Choir practice last night was difficult for me, personally. Being bound by a click track in that environment is a very obtrusive thing, yet the overall end result of using that type of DVD media in that type of venue is such a good thing that I decided to do it again...but it made things HARD last night. I feel like everyone felt that. THANK YOU MPC and MPO for working SO hard to make that happen. You are the bomb!

    On that note: I have never been so blessed by the Midway Praise Choir as I am now. The special music "Draw Me Nearer" that we did on Sunday was by far the best our group has EVER sounded. It was mind-blowing. I don't know where that group came from...amazing. Musically, it was very fulfilling-which is something that I don't get very often (please don't take that as being arrogant, not my intention, just being honest). BTW- not a slam on the choir either-you guys constantly suprise and dazzle me with all the work you put in outside of practice. THank you. I hope that this train never stops-but just keeps on going, picking up folks along the way for the ride. And what a ride it is...

    ...there is nothing like singing in worship to our Heavenly Father. Nothing.

  • I believe that choir was much harder on you than it was  for us last night. but then we do not have clicking in our ears.... just you leading us in worship, and either a brother or sister in Christ right next to us in worship.....how could that not be a good thing?  I for one am very proud to be a part of the MPC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and I just want to say thanks for all you do, Christy too!YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh yeah, and MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU wasn't actually said 'til Episode 5.

    Sorry, dude, but it's in Ep4. Han Solo says it to Luke before he leaves. And I'm pretty sure the Rebel commander says it at the end of his briefing too.

    but I don't think a mockery to marriage

    Por que?

    And I think it's more like 50-50, NOT 60-40...

    I'll stick w/ the 60-40. I was going to say 70-30, but 60-40 actually seemed the most accurate to me once I thought about it.

  • Amen brother... MPC Rocks! & MPO!
