    My apologies to those of you who don't know what Nertz is. It is the most incredible past time/hobby game ever! And it is perfect for obsessive/addicitive freaks like myself. I'll teach it to you if you'd like! All it takes is about 3 or 4 people, everyone with their own deck of cards...(fading off)

    So a couple of days ago I'm reading Chapter NIne of the PDL (What Makes God Smile)- and I'm thinking "boy, this is such a great chapter-I love everything in it" and I just have such a crabby day....it was like I didn't do anything that I learned that morning. It was so stupid...It was like, duh! Daniel, you can't just read and get fed and go away like you never ate...So I am determined to re-read that chapter a couple more times...and DO the things it talks about...

    Another thing I got out of the last few days and was really jumping out at me this morning again was the word ACTION. Faith = action.
    1 John 3:16-18 says-
    "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."

    That's my encouragement today- have your faith in the Lord translate into WHAT you do all day long--and talk to the Lord throughout the day--that's the way you'll know you are abiding in Christ. It takes constant surrender.

    I just deleted a HUGe portion of ranting and raving that I felt was a little too much...email me if you really want to hear it...

    So I completely understand your blog...  I always do the same thing.  I'll read a passage on humility and gentleness, and I'll walk into the next room and rip into a coworker.  Man.  Thank God that HIS patience is better than mine, otherwise I'd be struck dead.

    And I still maintain there's nothing wrong with commenting on your own blog.  So there.

  • I would love to learn your OCD sounding Nertz game!  You and Christy will have to teach me!

    I am focusing a lot right now on letting Christ's love and actions flow through me.  Mine are insufficient and His are perfect.  I think that is the same thing you are talking about.  I hate the fact that I am Human and can't do it perfectly!

  • I should borrow that soundtrack from you.

  • Teach me Nertz.
