Christy and I just got back from seeing the new movie Fireproof.

It was pretty good.
It’s hard to give a review of a movie like this one…it is so incredibly different from any other movie I’ve seen.
I would say that I recommend it to anyone that is married. Marriage is just taken so lightly nowadays, and this movie has a great message about the value of the commitment of marriage. It could potentially be a great ministry tool to churches all around the nation to heal hurting marriages and relationships. I was moved during a few of the scenes and some scenes were a tad cheesy–but overall, still, I would recommend it. There is too much good stuff in there…

Quick story: during one of the more tender scenes, Christy leans over to me and says, “The girl looks like she is CGI…you know…like from Shrek…”.
And of course, in a great twist of irony, I’m practically crying…so I lean over, “YOU ARE TOTALLY RUINING THIS MOMENT!!!!”

And that is the sensitive side of Daniel.
Don’t ever expect to see it in real life. Uh-uh. No…nope, nope…

Who wants to do research?

NOT ME.

This is one of those ones that everyone is required to take…and let’s just admit it: I’m no brainiac. Research doesn’t really interest me, and I don’t find it particularly applicable to my life as a 28 year-old. But, I’m sure that is my own short-sightedness.

And the teacher hasn’t done anything wrong; he is not boring or a poor instructor. I just don’t care.
And there’s going to be a whole bunch of writing.
But I don’t wanna…
So there.
