I used to wonder why the person I just replaced would have approximately 150 unread emails in her inbox at any given time. Now I know.
This new position is crazy and wonderful. I’m learning a lot, and I really feel like it suits my giftings well. It is also very busy–which I LOVE. I always love being busy (although, I have to be busy DOING something, not just busy doing nothing).
Nathaniel’s birthday is this weekend. We got him a bike (Shhh–don’t tell him). His other bike is tiny, and he has to pedal about a hundred times faster than one should ever have to pedal a bike in order to go anywhere. It’s hilarious. He’s always saying “My legs are SO tired…”
Well, this bike will be much better for that.More later, I suppose. I have to go to bed and tomorrow I’ll make the famous Daniel cake for Nathaniel’s b-day party. Then my folks are coming for a short visit on Sunday to party hardy with us again. It should be a very fun weekend!
This week has flown by…no–the SUMMER has flown by. It’s almost August…

“Getting Things Done” by David Allen is a great book, especially for people who get 150+emails stuck in their inbox…
(found you on the Office Blogring)
sounds busy!! I am thinking of taking a job in Cali… 150 unread emails sounds scary tho!
1. Love your title. registraring. great.

Hey, is this about you?
^^It totally is. I’m famous.
2 problems. BOSS and BLAM-O. both should be erased from your vocabulary. permanently.
^^You don’t like my mix of 80′s vocab and homemade slogans?

you are soooo right!! Perfect cake choice for Nathaniel’s birthday!
Well, I must admit you really got to me with that salutation of “My Sci-Fi friend.”
Actually, Christy already sent me one plug about choir and truthfully I have already talked it over with Tom and I have been earnestly praying about it because I miss choir so much. It has especially been on my heart to come back. Now, it helps a lot to know what time the practices will be because that time is not going to interfere with Small Group.
It will be a long Sunday since we do Living Inside Out with the kids, then Kid Choir and finally Small Group on Sunday evenings. I might have to slip off to a pew somewhere for a quick power nap. But, it looks like I’ll see you at practice in September! I can’t wait to hear what we are going to do for Christmas!
RYC – You haven’t heard us sing! But, I will definitely give it some thought. I am so glad to hear you are doing this for our music ministry. You are a very talented guy with a heart for God. We have really missed you and your family.
