  • EDIT ADD: So, I totally bumped into the film composer and musical director at the health club I was checking out. I literally walked in the door and they were walking out. We chatted, and it turns out he’s a real big racquetball player, and she doesn’t like to play so much…hmmmm….AND he asked if I played. Nope, but I’m willing to learn. You BET I’ll play racquetball with this dude.
Alright. I gotta learn how to play racquetball…
    ——
    buzz high score

This is definitely my high score so far–and I’m totally beating Noah…

This last week was spent playing synth in rehearsals and
shows of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Baldwin
Park. It was a great experience. Not only did I get to
connect with other gigging musicians, but the boyfriend of the musical director
happens to be a film composer. It turns out his regular orchestrator just had a
baby, so he’s not as available right now…he told me to give him a demo. Yeah,
    no problem! Coming right up!

Another cool thing happened last week also—my folks told us
that they would take out a loan against their house to pay for the lawyer for
Noah. Wow. We were going to try and put it on our charge card, but that wasn’t
going to work. We had pretty much given up hope at that point—because if we
didn’t get the hours we needed right now, there was pretty much no way for us
to get the hours we need for him when he turns 3. Thank you Mom & Dad!!
This is really a turning point for Noah…this time in his life is absolutely
crucial to determine whether or not Noah has to live with us for the rest of
    his life, or not…

    Thanks everyone for your prayers!

  • Congrats on everything in this post! Parents really can be wonderful things, can’t they? :)

  • Wow.  That’s awesome.  Hey, Noah can’t even see above the front of your spaceship.  That’s not fair…

Sorry I haven’t posted in so long.  Our work computer was down, but it’s fixed now!  Yay.  So anyway, I bought Amy an iPod Nano.  I knew you’d be proud.  We’re not buying music yet, we’re just busy getting our CDs on it.

Y’all are in our prayers as always, and we’ll catch up one of these days…

  • Awesome score! Good job. You totally got stopped in front of a Z while a disabled person got off the ride and into their wheelchair, didn’t you?

    Your parents are awesome.

  • ^^^nope, just hit a sweet triangular one that was lit up right at the beginning. My score jumped over 100,000 in a heartbeat!

  • Where is Noah…is he there…lol.  Wait, I see his eyes peering over!  To cute.  Praise God for all the (good) things going on with your lives.

  • Hey, don’t bag on puppetry- I’ve been in puppet ministry since 7th grade, and I’m dang good! It’s only scary in some applications. It can be a fun and powerful way to communicate to kids and adults, IF you do it right. Which few people do. I miss it, because I haven’t done much in a while. But it’s something I’ve never given up on. You’d be surprised how cool it can be.

  • hehe, you’re funny.

  • Ok. If you’re going to play racquetball, let me give you one tip – no, two tips: don’t wear your glasses into the sauna and always wear swim trunks in the hot tub. Just ask Chandler. He knows.

  • Grandparents ROCK!!

  • Hey, I play racquetball!  Oh, I see…  NOW you want to play.  I bet if I-I-I-I-I-I were an important composer or director theeeeeen you’d want to play with me.  *sigh*

  • Racquetball is fun.  Used to play all the time….good exercise too!  You have never played before, Daniel?

  • I think he’ll look funny playing raquetball- hee hee. I used to be quite good in high school….

  • I could give you a lesson in raquetball if you want! That was my PE at APU! : )  I love to play, but haven’t in a while. If you want to borrow a raquet, just let me know. While we’re at it, I could give you a lesson in Buzz lightyear too!! Ha Ha Ha…

  • I am so very happy that everything is working out for Noah’s lawyer!  Yippee!!!

  • Don’t hate on Matlock.

  • GOD IS SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! It is good, it is good , it is good to give thanks to the Lord on high, chechechechecheche! I think that’s a song that this really cool composer taught me a while back.

  • ^^Looks like John Williams wants to give me a lesson in racquetball…if only…

  • Aren’t parents the greatest!

It’s obvious where there heart’s are!

    Matthew 6:21

21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
