  • It's the end of week two of my new job and I still love it. There have been far less cookies lately though, and that has been dissapointing...however, I am not dismayed!

    There are a lot of fun little perqs to this job, but one of them is that I get to eat anywhere on campus for 3 bucks. Normally, the full price is about 7-8 bucks, so this is quite the deal. Well, on Friday Christy and Noah joined me for a little lunch in the caf and it was super fun! I only had to pay 6 bucks for the 3 of us (Noah doesn't eat enough to buy a regular meal). It was yummy and nice!

    My Dad has been helping me out with these Starbucks crossword puzzles over the last 6 weeks (can you believe that this Sunday is the last one!!). Every week I would call him on the phone and our conversation would sound like this, "Ok, a 5 letter word, blank-K-blank-blank-S, and the clue is..." and he would figure them out...what a guy! I think last week I  actually scanned and emailed him the puzzle to help with a few hard ones...Well this week he and my mom are visiting my Uncle (his brother) along with some other family in Washington--you know, the home of the 'Bucks. *Side note: I've been to THE ORIGINAL Starbucks in Seattle. But of course I have--'cause I'm awesome. Duh. You know it*
    Anyways--he and my Uncle are pretty good at these puzzles you call crossword, and he tells me on the phone, "We'll pick up the crossword puzzle and have it done in 15 minutes". Sweet.

    I gotta go. Down to SD today and back for church at Yorba Linda Friends for choir with Al...yay!

    On another note, I was planning on seeing you guys today but Will is sick and we have our grangirls so it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it to Derek and Amy's....sad, sad day.  At least I see you both when I come to your site...pics that is.  Have a great weekend!

  • hey thanks! how come i didn't know you guys were in LA? i'm sure you guys are greatly missed in san diego. i called you the other day by accident :( ---i should have left a message telling you. i tried calling my friend danielle....(not to be confused with daniel) --i heard your voicemail...and like an idiot just hung up. sorry to bother you! it sounds like your family is doing well. take care.

  • Can your dad get me a card from the original Starbucks?!?  There's a special one that you can only get at the first one there....  I would love you forever!!!  And your dad, of course.  ;)
