I'm a posting FIEND!
Ok, but this is a must-post. Oscars are coming up on March 5th, and Entertainment Weekly has a TOP 25 MOVIES you must-see before Oscar night--in order of potential awards impact. I would like to see more of these, but I must confess, I've only seen 4 1/2 of them (I walked out of 40 Year-Old Virgin 'cause it was too dirty...)

I want to go see The End Of The Spear tomorrow when it comes out. Is anybody interested in that like I am? I haven't heard much hubbub about it.
Hey, I've been trying to call you! I wanted to give you a job idea, if not only a temporary one that might be a good fit for you. Substitute teaching. What you have to do is apply at the local school district, and you qualify if you have a bachelor's degree. It usually pays $100-$125 a day and this is the way it works. Basically, they call you early in the morning like around 5 am with whatever's available. If you want to do it you take it. If not, you say, "No thanks. Not today", roll over and go back to sleep. It's nice because it's flexible and it's easy. It might be good for you because you could let them know that you specialize in music and they would call you for choir and orchestra classes in need of a sub. Anyway, it might be something you can do if you want. Christy could do it, too, to make some extra money whenever she feels like it. You can apply at elementary level or high school. Again, all you need is a bachelor's but they usually want you to say that you're pursuing a teaching credential in the near future. My mom did it all while I was growing it up to make extra cash, and it was nice because it was as part time or full time as she wanted it to be.
All right, but I keep warning you about Munich...
Cinderella Man is really, really good. I liked it and it is a true story.
JD & I loved Cinderella Man, too - it's a MUST SEE. I refuse to see Brokeback Mountain. They're trying to trick us by showing commercials that don't show the true content - you would never guess that it's a gay love story. At least be up front about it so people can make a choice armed with correct info. I hope no one takes their kids to see that, not knowing it is what it is. Argh!
Same her
Not going to see Brokeback Mountain either.....Munich, I would like to see.
I have seen exactly 0 of those.
o.o
I saw End of the Spear about 5 months ago. It was good, by "Christian movie" standards, but in general it was lacking in a lot of ways, I thought. However, a lot of the women in the audience were crying when it was over, so if you're not expecting greatness you'd probably enjoy it for what it was.
3 - Crash
13-Memoirs of a Geisha
17-King Kong
21-The Upside of Anger
22-The 40 Year-Old Virgin
25-The Chronicles of Narnia
^ those are all I've seen. How sad for me.
Gosh, the only movie I've seen off that list is King Kong and I thought it was great !=). As far as the job business is concerned, you've got to be still and wait on God; he'll be there, he's never late-- HE'S AN ON TIME GOD, YES HE IS!!!:) He may not be there you want him, but he'll be there right on time, cause he's an on time GOD--yes he is(I love that song). BE STILL, STOP FIDGETING, JUST WAIT ON GOD--BRO : )>
Wow, I have only seen one out of that list of movies! I really want to see Munich,Walk the Line, Cinderella Man and Memoirs of a Geisha....better get my popcorn and get busy!
CRASH is sooooo good! a thinker. After you see it you'll have crash moments. you'll understand if you've seen it.
oh yeah, and hooray for student discounts - EXCEPT AT SOME THEATRES WHEN YOU SHOW YOUR I.D. AND THEY SAY, GREAT, NOW JUST FILL OUT THIS FORM BLA BLA BLA AND WE'LL SEND YOU A STUDENT DISCOUNT MOVIE CARD THINGY. like they don't believe you anymore and you have to go through a background check! It happened to Chris and I at the Mission Valley AMC.....I won't say it's all AMC's but it for sure happened to us and we were .... flabbergasted. and out of money.
