Saw Fantastic Four yesterday. I was unimpressed. It is by no means a bad movie, it was very entertaining, it just paled in comparison to the incredible movies I've seen so far this summer (War of the Worlds, The Island, Star Wars Ep III, Batman Begins). I would say it is about as good as the first X-Men movie, or perhaps as good as the first Spiderman, but not as good as either sequal-which leads to the problem with some superhero flicks, sequals have the potential to be better because there is too much of a rush through character development in the first movies to get to the action. In FF, I thought the action/battle between good-evil was too short and the villian underdeveloped...it was all just a little bit under par...
I give one thumb up (out of a possible TWO for me, personally) for an entertaining summer popcorn flick-not too much too handle, just right for a little fun. We'll see what Janke has to say...

I've come to the conclusion that I don't like super hero movies, period. With that thought in mind, I sent Ule off to the movies without me the other night when he announced he wanted to see FF. He said the same thing-- that it was "ok". He DID mention that Jessica Alba is his new "on screen girlfriend". Hm. You men, I tell ya.
