Psalm 105: 1-4
1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.2 Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.3 Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.4 Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.------------
More and more I am seeing in the Psalms, a life-long dedication to Praising the Lord. No matter what, when, or where, David is always talking about singing to the Lord, Praising the Lord, worshiping the Lord. It really is an inspiration, 'cause we don't really do it enough, and when we do it is usually NOT in the hard times. I hope that is something we can ALL learn to do better...
Praise the Lord for a great choir practice last night. Feedback?? Anyone? It is easy to get wrapped around people that are saying good things, but not to get honest feedback from others...what did you think??

Choir was wonderful last night,,, I always get such a blessing. But if I had to make a not so positive comment it would be that there are some people( way to many) that just can't seem to keep their mouths shut when we are not singing, I know Julie also made a comment about that last night. It is very distracting when we are trying to here what you have to say and we can't here you because the people around us are putting in their two cents.... if you know what I mean. And then there was someone who was sitting close to me that kept getting up and down. First to answer her phone, and then to do something else... I 'm not sure what. Just a little distracting. And I have to admitt that I have been guilty of talking also, but I try to talk soft enough that the people around me can't here what I am saying.
I LOVE that you give us the time to pray!!!!! I can''t tell you what a blessing that had been to me personally. To see God answering our prayers, and being able to encourage one another. For me choir is ALWAYS up lifting and inspireing.
Choir practice is up a level from where we were this time last year. People are more focused (I didn't say we were there yet though), more people are practicing, more people are getting what this worship thing means and what it is.
I remember the first practice before ATFC. I was appalled that people took their commitment to learn and practice so lightly, I was doubtful that we would be able to live up to the vision that Daniel had cast. A lot of learning went on then. It is showing now. I think that God gave us The Heart of Christmas for the same reason. You can say "Raise the bar" only so many times. People needed to know what "Raising the bar" felt like. I think they do now.
