Excerpts from Psalm 79
----------
9 Help us, O God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name's sake.13 Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture,
will praise you forever;
from generation to generation
we will recount your praise.
----------I love it that they ask for help and do it for the sake of the Lord. For the glory of YOUR name, Lord, not mine. I love that motive. We forget sometimes that WE reflect the Lord, and everything we do should be for HIS NAME'S SAKE (to bring glory to Him). I'm sure we could all go off for a looong time about ministry leaders making decisions that are for the glory of thier own name's and not the Lord's--it happens everywhere, and it brings shame to the "Christians", and it makes people look down on God and "religion". I can't wait to see people in leadership who truly have the motive of glorifying God.
and Lord, help me to always keep that same desire. I want to glorify You.

That's a great Psalm and devotional.
But I would like to point out that we played Nertz last night and there is, strangely enough, no mention of it here.
Maybe that's because I kicked Dan's butt. Hard. Even though three or four hands in my score was still negative, but I still came back and won... 156-102, or something like that. Word.
And amen.
