Nathaniel's fever is gone. He was much more chipper today than before. I think his fever must of broke last night either during the time when he was screaming and had a bloody nose and wouldn't let me wipe it, or during the other time when all I heard was him yelling from his bedroom in some kind of sleepy stupor "NO BABY NOAH! NO! NO!" over and over again like an angry pirate. I was like, great, now he has brain damage...but he's ok today. With such a long day (7AM-2:30PM non-stop with church/choir practice + Christy went back for Kids Choir after that) the kids didn't get their naps, so we just kept them up 'til about 6:15PM and said, "OK time for bed!" Nathaniel was like "but Dad, it's still sunny outisde. It isn't dark yet?" (which is his cue for waking up and going to bed...) I just told him to go to sleep...I haven't heard so much quiet in this house since b4 kids...

New sketch show on tonight-we'll see how it goes. I love sketch comedy. I've watched SNL for a good 12 years or so (off and on during college) and still love it--even though it can get dirty and nasty (I tape it--I wouldn't usually stay up that late--so it's an easy Fast-Forward if it gets too gross). I'm not sure why I like it so much, but I think I'll be loyal to SNL forever. There is something about laughter that is so good, and I usually watch that show and LAUGH. David Spade hosted last night. He's not the most successful SNL alum (compared to recent grads like Will Farell, Mike Meyers, or even Adam Sandler) but it was a good show. I've never heard of the musical guest before either, but he was cool--Jack Johnson anyone?

OK-just looked up this guy (above)-fun music. I bought a couple of songs from iTunes...LIKE IT!

  • "NO BABY NOAH! NO! NO!" over and over again like an angry pirate.

LOL!!!! That is too funny - wish I could've heard that.

  • Brain damage eh? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR KIDS?!!

About the going to bed thing, one of my parent's friends who has 4 kids, three of which are under 7, in the winter whenever the father just wants them to all go to bed he says to his wife, "Honey, give them the cough medicine" even though none of them need it. LOL!!

  • Brain damaged???? You know what they say..... Like father, like son!!!! Must be the Boot Camp

  • So I finally figured out what the point to this Christmas musical is: choices. That part of the dialogue just clicked w/ me. Before, I was like, what the heck is this all about? The songs seem randomly selected, the story jumps from place to place, all the way to Easter and then to today... it just makes no sense! But I guess it's about choices, which at least ties the stuff together in some small way.
