Psalm 38 and 39-some pretty strange ones...Although, I guess they're not that out of the ordinary, it's just such a stark contrast from David praising the Lord to David pleading with the Lord. From a readers standpoint, it's like he's an emotional basketcase. One chapter he is marveling at God's greatness and splendor, and the next two chapters he's begging God to save him from the pit of despair. Just seems like some huge mood swings...but then I gotta tell ya, I doubt I'm too far from that kinda personality. I too have days when I feel like everything is going smoothly, God is directing my steps...then I have days where I feel like I can't even catch my breath between attacks from the enemy-and I no doubt am asking God to save me from the pit at that point... I gotta tell ya-this King David guy is my homey...
OK- how much disdain to I have for Shark Tale? I cannot even begin to describe it. I just am so annoyed at that movie, for every reason and none at all. Nathaniel loves it, I hate it. I can't explain it, I don't know what my problem is, but it's horrible...Nathaniel wanted to watch it last night with Grandma and Grandpa, but I just couldn't do it. Just hearing it from the next room was bad enough. I DO hate mob movie stuff (don't try and get me to watch the Godfather, I won't do it), so all the mob-type jokes drive me nuts. I don't really like the fake fish world they created, I think it's highly unoriginal and too weird. Gangsta fish? a giant whale wash? Times square underwater? Underwater graffiti? It all is just a big contrast to the Finding Nemo and Toy Story type of animated flicks that actually make you think you're in that world...I don't know. I hate it.
I honestly thought that I wouldn't get that much time to blog, oh well, here I am.

I should buy you Shark Tale for your birthday. On VHS.
So Dan, what is it about mob movies that bring out these strong feelings of anger and annoyance? Let's work through this...
I love mob movies. I enjoy the spoofs too. Godfather I and II were awesome, but III was annoying. Sophia Coppolla = bad actress ( Lost in Translation, which she directed, was enjoyable however).
I love shark tale! its a nice movie! hahahahaha!
