  • Hmmm...I think I love DSS TV. Unfortunately, we could never have this at our house. We watch plenty of TV as it is without 125 channels. Having DSS would be like saying I want to go on a diet and deciding to live in a Krispy Kreme store...it would be insane...we would not be able to stop watching TV EVER! Good thing we just have basic channels...but I will say, I have had fun browsing around here or there while the kids are napping and getting an old SNL or X-Files episode. But again, I do miss the Super Nintendo. I actually saw a Game Stop store today and sat there looking at the Game Cube on sale for pretty cheap!! Not that I ACTUALLY considered buying it, but I can't tell you I didn't think about it, for at least a few minutes. Hmmm...but that wouldn't make sense either...Game Cube is no Super NES. I mean, who can beat 16-bit technology?? And a game controller with only 6 buttons (besides the up-down-left-right key and start/stop and select). All you really need to beat Mike at Street Fighter II is the L/R buttons and a few hip moves with Guile...you know I beat you the last two or three times we played. You CAN NOT deny it-lest you be a big, fat, hairy liar.

On another note, Christy's dad is doing pretty good. They decided at his most recent appointment to do an angioplasti this coming Monday, and if he needs some stints, they'll do them right away...I guess that's good news.

I'm suprised at how fast this dial-up modem is going. Obviously, it's terrible, but not as bad as I remember when I used dial-up. (so glad to have cable modem..). My parents just got DSL also. Welcome to the world of broadband. Now all they need is an iMac and they'll be all set!!

Other news...new iPod mini just came out. It's a 6GB version (as opposed to the original 4GB). Now you can have 1500 songs instead of only 1000 and up to 18 hours of battery life. Nice. The REALLY good news is that the 4GB iPod Mini is now only $199. That's a sweet price...hmm. I guess no one like the tan version, cause now it's GONE.

This is our last night in Chico. We'll be heading down to Twain Harte on Thursday. Hooray for Jubilee! btw-Jubilee is this ginormous (Elf) fundraiser that my parents put on every year for the school I attended K-12 grade. It raises about $50,000 for the school, and is a large event. Kinda like those fundraisers they do on The Apprentice. In fact, I'm calling Trump right now...just a small donation, Mr. Trump?

  • Guile's flash kick is no match for Ken's dragon punch, tornado kick, and fireball. He's a girlie man.
