  • Wowsers! What a day!

Went to Sea World and had a good time watching the whales splash everyone...good show Shamu!

Had our first rehearsal for A Summer's Night w/Al Clifft and had a blast. I love to sing for that guy-his heart comes through so loud and clear above everything else--I think that's what I love about him. Not only is he a fantastic musician and choir director, he has a heart that is amazing. He speaks truth in a way that is so open and freeing. What a great guy! I am looking forward to Saturday...all day rehearsing and then the concert.

THEN Jerry Seinfeld was absolutely phenomenal. We saw him do live stand-up at the civic center downtown. I must say, I think he is truly the funniest person alive. I have never laughed so much! But of course! It's SEINFELD! Talk about a guy who has influenced a generation. I'm telling you-that audience was 95% late-20's to early-30-year-old couples on dates. ALL fans of the series, no doubt. But that's the age. We were all watching the show growing up...and I can't believe he's 50!
I dare not try to re-tell any of his jokes. It would be futile. But this is funny--we all gave him a standing ovation at the end (of course) and he came back out to do a time of Q & A. One guy asked when he would do another show-and he said "We all know each other, here, so I'm going to be honest with you all...I'm old, I'm rich, and I'm tired." Thunderous applause and laughter. If you can see this show, GO!
