• School is out!

  I’m done with an entire year of school. Wow. 
  I feel very blessed to be in school and learning. I AM learning–and I’m flourishing, not just surviving. I truly am thriving in this environment and loving it. I had another succesful song last night for my final, it wasn’t perfect–but it was still a success AND I have a great understanding of songwriting now.
  It was actually interesting to see the progress of all the students in the class. Our first projects were pretty dismal, and to be able to submit a final song that was not a complete embarrassment is quite the progress.
  All that to say, I love this program.

  And on that note, I will be taking a little bit of time off of school to write this huge review for a school in Irvine. I’ve already completed some work on it, and am working with a really incredible director. I’m excited to be able to write music that I’ll be able to conduct–additionally, I’ll be directing rehearsals and stuff like that, so I’m stoked. Plus, I’ll enroll at CSULA and I’ll get independent study (units) for all of this work. I already talked with my prof about it.

  This new Sarah McLachlan Christmas album is great.

  Christy’s birthday is on Monday. She’ll be thirty-(cough). Oops, I must have missed that second number…

  Now that I’m done with school, though-I great weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. School is hard! Now I’ll be able to get some sleep (not an inordinate amount, just a healthy amount) and focus on my other jobs without falling asleep at my desk…

  Oh yes, and happy birthday to me, I got this now…I haven’t had any time to watch it–but I’m SO excited to-maybe over the break…
