  • EDIT ADD:
    ALERT! ALERT!!
FOX NETWORK NOW ON ITUNES!!!! This includes the most amazingest show ever–24!! Download Jack Bauer now!
Yay Steve Jobs! One of my favorite people…although I’ve never met him…
Oh, this is good…now if only CBS would get it’s act together and get it’s stuff on there as well, we’d all be happier…

No one has brought back my cups yet. I don’t care, I’ve found a way to beat them anyways–I just got new cups, and I got a lot of them. I’m back building up my cup kingdom (or cup-dom, if you will) and no one can stop me this time! Unless they take them again…
But here’s the thing, this time when they pranked me (whoever they are), I didn’t get even, I got mad. Then, this bag o’ chips tells me “just wait to see what’s coming next” and I freaked out. So instead of being crafty and devising some clever way to get back at them (whoever they are) I just took all of my Starbucks decorations out of my office. My posters, my blackboard, my huge framed picture, and my apron–all gone. ‘Cause let’s just face it, I’m too nice for pranks, I just can’t do them. And it’s partly because any pranks I think of are absolutely wrong and horrible, and way bad…like not even comprable–so I just made it too hard for the other people (and consequently, not fun) to prank me.
So they tell me that I’ll get my cups back at the end of the week, but I don’t care, because by then I’ll have all new cups.
    So take that!

    More later…

  • EDIT: My grades. Are. Awesome.

    SUMMER MOVIES ARE BACK!

Mission Impossible III was really, really, really, really awesome!
    Go J.J. Abrams!

    YAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • EDIT ADD: Great convocation speech today by Matthew Hauge. Here is a tiny thing he said that stunned me…

    In a recent
study by Phillip Harter of the Standford University School of Medicine, he
discovered that if we shrunk the earth’s population to a village the size of
100 people there would be: 57 Asians; 21 Europeans; 14 North and South
Americans; 30 white; 70 nonwhite; 6 people would possess 59% of the world’s
wealth and all 6 would be from the United States; 80 would live in substandard
housing; 70 would be unable to read; 50 would suffer from malnutrition; 1 would
own a computer; 1 would have a college degree.

Woah! I am more blessed than I realize…

Oooooo check out this shirt. It rocks! AND this is my awesome Worship Pastor wearing it in this picture, no less. Christy and I saw it at choir practice and were whispering to each other, “That can’t be a 24 shirt…”,  “No, there must be a real President Logan, right?” “Yeah, maybe there was…let’s see” (Naming the Presidents in our head…) “It’s gotta be a 24 shirt…” and on and on we went until Christy asked him about halfway through. He said “Yeah, and now we know exactly who the real 24 fans are, me, you, and the few other people that have asked me about this shirt…”

Oh yeah, Brian, Kenny said he’ll take you to the hoop anytime and dunk on ya…I’m just relaying the message…

    bottom line…awesomeist shirt ever.

    24 shirt

I got this Starbucks card the other day as a gift, and every time I looked at it, it reminded me of baby Moses floating down the Nile…I can’t look at it without laughing. My Starbucks card is like baby Moses!! HA!

    SB card Moses1

Oh, and I heard some stuff about the new summer drinks at Starbucks.  Coconut is back, but this time with a friend–banana. Yeah, I’m not sure how much I am going to like these drinks, but apparantly it will be similar to the Strawberries and Creme Frap, but the flavor is Bananas and Caramel…you know I’ll try it, I’m just not sure how much I’ll like it…plus there’s a coconut latte, etc…

I believe this all starts on May 15th.

    The Starbucks Stealer

    I have been punked again.
This time they took my cups.
As you can see in the picture, there are some “It’s A Grind” coffee cups on the shelf behind me. It used to be filled with Starbucks cups of all sizes (nicely organized, I might add). I was about to be done with it, which was when I was planning on taking a picture, but alas, they are gone.
And someone in my office is holding them for ransom. I do not know who, they haven’t made any demands yet…
They also wrote on the back of my official SB chalkboard and left an “It’s A Grind” hat in my office.

    I want my cups back!

    Punked again

  • EDIT: Mark my words, there is no bottom three tomorrow. There will be two groups, one of three, and one of two. The group of three will be safe…leaving two left. Eh, they could do something funky…here’s my bottom 3 (of 5…geez this is hard).

    3rd lowest: Elliott
    2nd lowest: Taylor
1st lowest: Paris (also going home)

    I guess we’ll see…

Well, I just concluded my final work on the Citrus project I was doing. The shows are this weekend, so I think we’ll head over to see it on Friday night, if possible.  The most rewarding part of any job I do is hearing the final product (when the music comes to life).  I did probably 8 or 10 transcriptions/rhythm charts, plus a couple of vocal parts for SATB choir, and orchestration on two of the songs. It will be fun to hear it all come together.

Poor Mike is still here. I feel bad for him that he has to plunk down $500 for his crappy car (heh heh…). I guess it could be worse, but still, we almost had him convinced to buy a new car (he’s had the same car since the early 90′s…) instead of fixing this one, but I don’t think that’ll happen anytime soon now. He probably won’t buy an iPod now either…

    24 was great last night.

Classes are good…I have homework every week to do for my recording techniques class–which is fine–but that makes for an extra trip down to school during my specified lab time on Saturdays. This weekend I have to mix down 24 tracks of stuff and add effects/compressor and make final mix to a CD. Not super hard, but I often get frustrated when trying to do a final mix…it takes a good amount of experience to know how something will sound in the studio AND how to mix it so it also sounds good on your home stereo. ‘Cause you can do a fantastic mix in the studio on those awesome monitoring speakers, burn a CD, then stick it in your car stereo or computer and it sounds like crap all of a sudden. It’s tricky, but it is a great challenge, which–hello–is why I’m here…

A HUGE  thank you to my parents! They took a trip down here to give us their old 1993 Ford Aerostar, so we could have two vehicles. Christy is so excited!! Now she’s not stuck at home while I’m at work and school…on the days I go to school I can be gone 12-14 hours at a time. She is so happy to have a way to bop on out to the grocery store, or head over to the park or whatever she wants to do, even when I’m gone. Thank you Mom and Dad!! We had a great time hanging out with you this weekend! It was party time, non-stop…

We love our church. One may not be super-dooper impressed by attending any one single service. (Not that they aren’t impressive, ’cause they are all really cool). But we have found that when you dig deeper into the depths of this place, you find even more rich soil than is on the surface, (or maybe, immediately under the surface…).  We know churches. We’ve been around. We’ve toured and served and been a deep part of many places, and we’ve seen a lot of things. I am constantly impressed at how God is working in and through people at YLFC. I know it’s kinda early to say this, but I’m in looooooove….oh yeah, we attended a really cool welcome brunch on Sunday. Incredible stuff, just incredible…Many kudos to YLFC for their ability to stay true to themselves, and to be surrendered to what God wants for them, and to be real and genuine. This is truly a great church.

I went to Jamba Juice last night, and I got an Immunity Boost.
So shutup all you boost-booers. I don’t want to hear it.
