  • Now I’ve saved over 2GB of space on my Hard Drive!!!! Who knew?? I guess I was bringing in songs at 196bps instead of a regular stereo mix of 128bps…oh well. All that extra space just means more songs to put on my iPod!!! I got a few more soundtracks from my CD archives and added them in…Crimson Tide, Far and Away, Shine, WIlly Wonka, and a couple others…

Saw WAR OF THE WORLDS last night and it gets a REALLY enthusiastic two thumbs up from me! Steven Speilberg at his best, and who gives a care about Tom Cruise’s personal life. I am SO over that. I really don’t care about movie stars’/famous people in general’s personal lives. We all have problems people. It’s just that these poor folks have their problems splattered all over the tabloids, and news shows, etc..I don’t care!!! I’ll tell you how much I like an actor or singer based on their performance and talent-NOT their personal life. All that to say the S.S. and Tom Cruise did a SMASHING job of re-telling the classic H.G. Wells story. It was masterful and beautiful. A tribute to literature and art. The Speilbergian nuance and flavor was there, along with the fright likening to the the very first time you saw Jurassic Park–that kind of scary. I was thrilled with the whole thing, from beginning to end.

Let me also say this-I know I’ve been giving pretty positive movie reviews lately, this does not mean I am just an ignorant movie lover, or just so excited to go to the theatre that anything I see is great. It means one of two things, (or both)–either I have extremely good taste in movies, so the ones I choose to see are always good, OR it means this is an extraordinary summer for blockbuster movies.

    It might be both…
    hahaha

Mike is going to lose at Nertz tonight. I can feel it.

  • I’ve saved over 1GB of my disk space (not that I’m low) by converting my mp3s to AACs (mpeg4). It’s pretty cool. Yay iTunes!!

Now iTunes has podcasting (iTunes 4.9). It’s pretty cool. Yay for Apple!

My brother and family is coming into town tomorrow night and we’re gonna Nertz it out! I’ll win. Not Mike. Plus Christy’s bro and girlfriend are coming to church on Sunday. It’ll be a Pat and Oscar’s FIESTA!!! Giddie up!

btw- made a couple long-term and short term goals.

    1) I want my Master’s Degree by 2010 (I’ll also be 30 that year).
    2) I want to finish one arrangement per week for the xmas album I’m working on.
    3) I want to run a marathon before I die.
    4) I want to work on a film score (could be copyist, orhcestrator, i don’t care…)
