Month: February 2005

  • I must say that I’m just not interested in conjecture about the end times. Can we please let it go?? No one really knows what exactly is going to happen, and all this talk about it really just makes me crazy! There has been, and continues to be sooooooo many people speculating about interpretation of Revelation, but it’s just drives me bonkers. People spend all their time trying to interpret it, and they ignore (or neglect to implement) the part in the Bible about how to live towards others today, while we’re not in the end times…no one knows the hour guys!! Stop trying to figure it out and have a relationship with the Lord! Love your neighbor!

    Sorry, enough of that.

Dude, I was so grumpy last night. All I wanted to do was chill out and Nathaniel was still awake (this is like between 10-11 PM), he was driving me crazy…I went a little bonkers and just finally went to bed…oops.

I gotta go jog now. Not something I really want to do, but it’s the YOB, remember?

  • Psalm 32:11
“Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!”

What a marvelous choir practice last night! Wahoo! If only you all could hear these guys…they sound GOOD! The Lord be praised for a really awesome rehearsal! Good work! I definately have to give it up to the folks who went to the seminar last weekend, part of the reason we succeded last night was because we did songs the 20 of you already knew, so you could lead the rest of the group–it really worked well!

    I’m tickled…

oh yeah, and Amercian Idol was great. LL COol J was actually, like, the nicest guy ever. He kept hugging all the people that got rejected…and I think he was sincere…bizarre…but cool.

  • Ah, Feb 1st. Time flies…

So I went out to run this morning at about 6AM, and I swear its 40 below out there…it is soooo cold!! I went like 10 feet and said “I’ll go do my devotions THEN run when the sun comes out a little…” plus my regular green-hooded sweatshirt is in the wash, so my replacement is a little less warm and comfy…

24 continues to be riveting! Welcome back, Tony…nice save, my friend. Nice save…

Our small group was great last night. I am really thankful to be studying again with them. Even though our schedule is busy, I enjoy our small group! It actually is something ministry-oriented for the church that I’m not paid to do…ya know, Tuesdays is choir, Wednesdays is church, etc…small group is actually something that I chose to do AS a thing that I cn actually say that even though I am emplyed by the church, this is something I totally do for God, not for my job. (Of course, the other stuff is for God, too–but I think you guys get my point…)

The trip to Rose Drive Friends Church for the Bonner choral seminar was fantastic! About 20 folks went and really grew and had a great time! NOt only that, but they came back on Sunday morning and really blew everyone out of the water with the choir special! I had lots of complements about it, and am very proud of you guys…good work!

    Memory Verse for this week:
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.” Matthew 5:11 (NIV)
