  • The first track on this CD (and First Contact) are two of my all-time favorites–they’re so beautiful, this one especially.

Currently Drinking – A Glass of Ice Water

I love blogs- here’s Nertz scores from last night (yes, Brad & Suzie just can’t get enough of the Nertz hurtz…) after 12 hands:

    Dominating Daniel – 218
    Cunning Christy – 193
    Basking Brad – 133
    Sorry Suzie – 108

My apologies to those of you who don’t know what Nertz is. It is the most incredible past time/hobby game ever! And it is perfect for obsessive/addicitive freaks like myself. I’ll teach it to you if you’d like! All it takes is about 3 or 4 people, everyone with their own deck of cards…(fading off)

So a couple of days ago I’m reading Chapter NIne of the PDL (What Makes God Smile)- and I’m thinking “boy, this is such a great chapter-I love everything in it” and I just have such a crabby day….it was like I didn’t do anything that I learned that morning. It was so stupid…It was like, duh! Daniel, you can’t just read and get fed and go away like you never ate…So I am determined to re-read that chapter a couple more times…and DO the things it talks about…

Another thing I got out of the last few days and was really jumping out at me this morning again was the word ACTION. Faith = action.
    1 John 3:16-18 says-
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”

That’s my encouragement today- have your faith in the Lord translate into WHAT you do all day long–and talk to the Lord throughout the day–that’s the way you’ll know you are abiding in Christ. It takes constant surrender.

I just deleted a HUGe portion of ranting and raving that I felt was a little too much…email me if you really want to hear it…

    Until next time

  • I dominated the Nertz game last night. Althogh for a while I really fell behind for a while, I made an astonishing come back near the end and won 20 hands of nertz with a score of 261. The line up goes something like this: Daniel-261, Suzie-222, Christy-205, and Brad-137. Now that’s awesome for Brad! He bust through the 100 mark and then got a -1 on our last hand and we said, “No, Brad!, You can’t finish like this” (with a score of 99) and we just kept playing… I Nertzed 7 times. It was rough…

I’m not really watching Baby Praise-that’s just Baby Noah…I actually spent an hour wathcing the keynote presentation from Apple’s WWDC 2004 conference in San Francisco. It was unbelievable! I started watching ’cause I wanted to see some of the new features in the new MAC OS X version “Tiger”, but I got hooked. I don’t know why, it was just enthralling!

Apple is counting up to 100 million downloads from iTunes, and are giving away prizes. I’m trying to win!!!! Check out www.apple.com for more info. THere is a huge countown tally on the page. It’s cool…

Apple just introduced their 30″ display. I was floored…it has 77% more space than the displays I have and they had to create better graphics cards just to run it. It has 4.1 million pixels AND you can run 2 of them if you really want for 8 MILLION PIXELS! YIKES! Don’t worry, they’re available in August, and they start at $3299.00 (yeah right…I could by a country for that much…albiet a small one)

That’s all for today-my day off!

  • I wish there was a “Currently Eating” section, ’cause if there was i would put “ham sandwhich on sourdough” for mine, yum…I’m usually eating or thinking about eating when i write this anyways…

The orchestra at church sounded awesome in their rehearsal last night. If the Midway Praise Choir doesn’t do their homework before Sunday morning (July 4th spectacular!) they’ll be in trouble. The orchestra will kick their butts. Man, is anyone actually reading my blog besides Derek and Mike Janke?

Well, if no one’s listening, I don’t really want to write on for myself…I’ll give it a little while longer…wah
